1) Dredging of Sydney harbour leading to commercialization.

2) Support for the evaluation of the Donkin mine project leading to a test burn if warranted.

3) Support of the Council on Innovation, based on a model that operates as a project of InNOVAcorp with additional funding from ECBC. Continued government support for the CBNS railway.

4) Funding from all levels of government for promoting good health and active living including Centre 200, the YMCA and the Northside Sport and Recreation Complex.

5) Insuring the continued growth of programs and infrastructure at NSCC Marconi and the retention of all current programs of CBU, particularly the BEd and Nursing programs. Both institutions are critical for the anticipated growth pattern of the area as a result of the opportunities listed above.
